Pool Opening Instructions
We’re going to be opening your pool this week! Before we arrive, there are a few steps you can take that make the process as quick and easy as possible!
Please make sure all gates are unlocked.
Please make sure that any pets are secured inside to ensure their safety during our visit.
If there are any water turn-on valves or anything else that would need to be reached inside the house, please let us know ahead of time to coordinate getting into the house.
Please make sure water level is halfway up on your skimmer.
Get your pool cover bag, ladder, rails, diving board, salt cell, return covers, or any other pool related items out of storage and leave near pool side.
As we open your pool, we will also do the following:
We will remove pool cover, clean, fold and place in the pool cover bag (if pool cover bag is accessible).
We will remove any winter plugs, reinstall all fittings, plugs, ladder, rails and diving boards.
We will start all pool equipment and check all operations.
We will add opening chemicals if requested (not included in pool opening price) & brush the pool.
Note: If you have leftover chemicals from last season, please have those set out and labelled for us! Otherwise, we will use our chemicals and charge per pound.
Looking for even more clean-up? We also offer a Spring Pool Cleaning with Balancing (as additional costs).
A typical spring pool cleaning will take an additional 4-5 hours. It includes:
Vacuuming & brushing the pool surface
Pool water chemical balancing
Pool filter backwashing and cleaning
All pool owners who select the additional cleaning will need their own pool water test kit, a telescopic pool pole, vacuum head, vacuum hose, vacuum plate, leaf net and brush. All of these items are available at our retail store for purchase if you don’t have them already.
If you choose to do your spring cleaning yourself, make sure to have your water tested a week after opening to get it balanced for the summer!
